Welcome to Beautiful Jay Lake
Family Campground and R.V. Park
Camping in the Highlands at Jay Lake could be the highlight of your summer season.
Summer vacation is about keeping it simple. Fragrances from the great outdoors, evening campfires, and days full of swimming.
It's time to keep family & friend close, be in the moment and have relaxed fun. We ask you to park your car and enjoy walks or bike rides rather than drive around the park.
Campers own their own paddle boats.
Bring your own laptop to the pool and rec hall to get on the internet for free.
As much to do or as little to do as you wish. We want you to enjoy your stay!
Camping at its best!
No extra fees to reserve
Whether you are a young family, empty nesters or retired, you will find Jay Lake Campground and R.V. Park merits a careful look. Our specialty is peace and quiet set in a beautiful, clean, family park. Jay Lake is a small, spring fed private lake stocked with rainbow trout, however it is the circle of life with otters and big herons that also love to eat the fish. Jay Lake is spring fed, resulting in excellent water quality in the lake and because it is private there is no risk of contamintation from outsiders. Haliburton is known for its clean lakes unlike problems recently encounted in other areas. No powered watercraft are permitted in order to preserve our environment and maintain the "quiet" that we cherish.
Jay Lake is just a short drive away from most points of interest and the two well-developed communities of Minden and Haliburton.
Whether you are looking for a wide variety of planned activities or just want to get away and relax, then Jay Lake is for you.
We are happy to announce that Jay Lake Camping is under new management. Please welcome Shirley and Steve McGlennon who bring their experience and enthusiasm to the wonderful adventure of camping be it for a short stay or for the entire season.
